Do you dream of being on stage and playing in a band? With us, you have the opportunity to live as a musician for a year! You'll get to jam with other musicians, play concerts, and go on tour. This is your chance to develop your skills, find your sound, and create music.
What can you expect?
With us, it's all about the music. Throughout the year, you'll play in a band, have instrumental lessons, learn about sound and PA systems, and of course – you'll go on tour!
We play concerts both at school and on stages around the country. Bergen , and you and your band choose the songs. Here you just have to play around with everything from pop and rock to jazz – or maybe something completely different. Eventually we will move on to working on your own music , with a focus on songwriting and recording , so that you get experience in developing and producing your own songs.
Inspiration from the pros
You'll participate in workshops with professional musicians who share their experiences about life on the road, how they got to where they are today, and how you can achieve your goals. They give you an inside look at the music world!
The touring life awaits!
The highlight of the year? Without a doubt, the tour! For an entire week, you'll experience the touring life, play several concerts, feel the adrenaline, and travel from city to city with the band. It's an experience you'll never forget.
We learn a lot about what it means to be a professional musician after a couple of days "on the road." It's about the camaraderie between musicians and how to plan tours and concerts.

All music students receive individual instrumental lessons throughout the year with skilled teachers from Bergen's professional music scene, on an instrument of their choice.

In the music room, we have a well-equipped recording studio with industry-standard software like Logic Pro and Ableton Live, as well as high-quality microphones. Here, you'll have the opportunity to learn about music production from recording to final mix.
You can also choose to use your instrumental lesson time for studio work. Additionally, we visit established, professional music studios in Bergen's music scene, so you can see how professionals work, get inspiration, and gain practical experience with recording and production.

Bergen is a vibrant music and cultural city with a varied offer. Every week you can experience concerts from intimate club scenes to large festivals and cultural centers. Whether you like jazz, rock, pop or want to explore new expressions, you will encounter an inspiring environment full of energy and creative joy.
Throughout the school year, you'll experience exciting concerts and cultural events – including workshops, lectures, and other encounters with art and music – while also being able to immerse yourself in the city's rich and vibrant cultural life.
