I started the photography course at Fana Folkehøyskole without any previous knowledge of the subject. With an enthusiastic and engaging teacher, I ended up with a new hobby. Andreas made me curious about the subject, and he helped me get to know myself better. Without a doubt, it is worth going to folkehøyskole.

Before I started at Fana, I had a dream of learning the darkroom, the analog technique, using different cameras and immersing myself in photography. During this year, I have learned an incredible amount, including about myself. I have always struggled with self-discipline and motivation, and you learn a lot about that in analog photography. Sometimes you have to make dozens of copies of the same photo before you are satisfied. But with an incredibly knowledgeable and motivating teacher, it will go well! I have not regretted for a second that I chose analog photography.

Our photography teacher Andreas has been very keen that this is our year, and has let us have a lot of influence on the program in the line classes. You get a lot of freedom to be creative and create what you want. Whether you want to work on your own project or if you want to have lessons and get assignments. This line is suitable for both beginners and experienced photographers. Here everyone has a lot to learn, be inspired and feel the joy of photography!

I was considering applying to some gaming-related studies, but I've heard so many good things about the folk high school. Here I can also find out if I want to continue with it before I decide.

Fana folkehøgskule has made it clear to me what I want to do with my life. When I started I had zero idea what I wanted, whereas now, two years later, I am studying music in England. Fana taught me to follow my heart.

I had one expectation when I applied to Fana. I would be on stage and that was it. I was itching to learn about theatre, see theatre productions and, most importantly, act in theatre!

At Game Development you learn everything from how a game is built to the history behind games and how they have helped change the world. The teacher is incredibly smart and knowledgeable and makes sure you learn at your own pace at the same time.

The game development line on Fana folkehøgskule was a really good way to try out game development. It's a safe and effective way to learn a lot in a short time. I'm really glad I chose to go there, now I know I want to continue with game development.

Going to Fana is incredibly fun! It's educational and fun, with different activities, during the day and in the evening! I've gotten to know myself better, but also with others my age.

The school has an incredibly good environment, with lots of committed teachers and staff. The music program is perfect for those who want to develop their skills in collaboration and playing in bands.

The choice to choose Fana folkehøgskule was really completely random, but an absolute hit. Out of all the choices I could have made, I don't regret it for a second. I came to play music and got much more than I hoped for.

Visual Arts at Fana is the best choice if you want to have a year where you challenge yourself creatively. I came in with zero knowledge of art, and I learned so much that I use it all the time now when I sit down to create something.

At Visual Arts I had the opportunity to work with many different materials and find my own expression. With good teachers and fantastic fellow students you can go incredibly far! I have learned a lot that I will take with me going forward.

At Billedkunst we had a good class environment, good teachers, and a lot of freedom that made me feel safe and able to develop my expression in a completely new way. The year at Fana is a year I will never forget.
