Birgitta Alida Hole

About Birigitta

Birgitta is a teacher at the music department. She is a trained jazz vocalist from the Grieg Academy in Bergen and works as a performing musician and songwriter. Birgitta is active in Bergen's music scene and is involved in several exciting band projects. She has performed at many of the country's largest festivals and contributed to several critically acclaimed album releases. In addition, she has her own music studio at Bergen Meat, where she both works on her own projects and teaches singing.

Birgitta is passionate about creating an inclusive and creative learning environment where each student has the opportunity to develop their unique musical expression. Through instrumental lessons, collaborations and workshops with professional actors from the cultural world, she gives students useful tools for further work in the music field.

When Birgitta is not busy with music, she can be found hanging in the air as a former circus performer in aerial acrobatics, climbing a climbing wall, or searching for hidden treasures in vintage shops. She is also a passionate animal lover with a love for dogs and horses – and perhaps dreams of one day living on a farm with room for both music, nature, and four-legged friends.
