What are you paying for?

• Enrollment fee (NOK 3,000) Paid when you accept the school place.
• Board and lodging (DKK 98,800) All meals at school and accommodation in a double room
• The line costs vary on the different lines. They cover materials, equipment, books, excursions, study trips, etc. The line cost is an estimated sum that is settled against actual consumption at the end of the school year.
• Common costs : Expenses for joint trips, travel insurance, cultural events organized by the school, school picture, laundry, copying, free use of the internet, newspapers and other common expenses. (15,200,-)

**) Deposit NOK 2,000 is paid in addition to the first payment. You will receive the deposit back at the end of school if the key to your room has been returned and the room has been cleaned.*

Additional expenses

• You will need to set aside some pocket money both at school and on the study trip. With an average consumption, you will need about 2000 kroner per month.
• Supplement for a single room : 8,900 NOK for the entire year

Adapted diet

NB! There is no supplement for vegetarian food.

Payment plan

• The first invoice is to be paid on 15 August. It is NOK 6,000
• The second invoice is paid on September 1, when the Loan Fund makes its first payment.
• The last 8 payments are made on the 15th of each month (the same day that the Loan Fund disburses loans/grants).
• The price per month is adjusted to the price of the line and the payments from the Loan Fund.

Interrupted school year

If you cancel your school place during the period August 13 - August 23, 2026, this will incur a cost of NOK 5,000.

If you interrupt the school year after it has started, you must pay tuition fees for the following 6 weeks. This applies regardless of the reason for interrupting the school year.

Loans and scholarships

You can get support from the Loan Fund when you go to folkehøgskole . For the school year 2025/2026 you can be paid up to 151,697 kroner (Amount for 2026/2027 must be updated). 60 percent of this amount is a loan, 40 percent is a loan that will be converted into a scholarship when your year is approved. folkehøgskole To have a loan converted into a scholarship, you cannot have undocumented absences that exceed 10 percent.
