Electives
On Fana folkehøgskule You will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of exciting electives that give you the chance to both try something new and follow your interests.
Throughout the school year, elective courses are divided into four periods of about six weeks each. In each period, you choose two new electives. These take up five hours a week and give you the opportunity to explore various interests.
In addition, you can delve into a longer elective each semester. Here, you can really immerse yourself in a topic that interests you, with two weekly hours to explore and develop new skills in more depth.

Magnet fishing
Magnet fishing involves using strong magnets to fish for metal waste on the seabed.
Philosophy and history of ideas
In this elective, we learn about philosophers and other thinkers. We look at what their most important ideas are, where they came from, and what they have meant for posterity.
Rubber band
This is the elective for you who want to take a break, have a cozy time with fellow students and trim the brain at the same time.
A tribute to the album
An elective for those interested in listening to entire albums and learning the stories behind them. We discuss genre, recording techniques, music history, etc.
Close and good
Through this elective, you will get to know our local area better and become aware of the natural resources we have around us.
