Sunnhordland Folk High School invites you to a theater performance.
The play that the theater students will perform is “Counting Down to Zero” by Kristofer Grønskag.
The play is about today's youth generation, which has been given names such as Self-obsessed, Achievement, Generation Me Me Me. The plot cannot be retold simply, but consists of dialogues where we have to piece together fragments and let them affect thoughts and feelings.
The play is built like a ticking bomb, you get the feeling that something dramatic is about to happen. The stories that are presented at first seem to have nothing to do with each other, but gradually we see a connection. The play is funny, exciting, gripping, shocking, perhaps provocative.
We meet, among other things:
A dead cow
A girl who is nice on her own, but joins in the bullying when the gang is present
A corpsman with makeup
Mongo-Lars's revenge on those who call him Mongo-Lars
A girl who has to stand in front of a speeding train to feel alive
A reality star who is sick of the tyranny of positivity and has an interesting stalker

Sunnhordland folkehøgskole is a free-spirited folkehøgskole , inspired by Grundtvig's folk high school thinking and his view of man as a wonderful enigma. Every person should be met with tolerance and respect, and with the belief that we can positively influence our lives and surroundings.
