Electives
On Fana folkehøgskule You will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of exciting electives that give you the chance to both try something new and follow your interests.
Throughout the school year, electives are divided into four periods of around six weeks. In each period, you choose two new electives. These run over five hours a week and give you the opportunity to test out different interests across the curriculum.
Close and good
Through this elective, you will get to know our local area better and become aware of the natural resources we have around us.
Creative writing
The writing workshop provides a safe space where you can explore language and learn more about how to create good texts.
Improvisation with music
This elective gives you an introduction to musical improvisation. It's about letting go, having fun, and trying new things.
Improvisational theatre
We play with different methods within theater improvisation. You get to know yourself better and challenge yourself in a safe environment with low shoulders.
Literary respite
Books are best when shared. At the shared reading experience, we read short stories and poems aloud. Along the way, we take small breaks and talk about what we have read.
Music video
We focus on the period between the late nineties and half a decade into the turn of the millennium. Here we look at what led up to this time, and provide an overview of the slightly more modern contributions to the medium.
Human rights - an introduction
Here we go through different types of human rights, the history behind human rights and we take a closer look at how human rights are worked on nationally and internationally.
